I agree. I like to put all boundaries in a unique layer, however I realise I may not be following best practice on this.
I would like the option in preferences to have all Boundaries created automatically on a nominated Layer, we could control the colour and visibility better there too.
Following on from your suggestion (as I understand it), a button that will highlight them, or the button could open a list where we could highlight all, or those selected.
You are most likely aware of this but the option to "display entity details", located in the program preferences will display the boundary name when the cursor is moved over it. This may help you out in a pinch. In regard to your request, would you envision this option being available for strings etc?
