Currently if I drape an object on a DTM Points are produced everywhere that the object crosses a mesh line and also at the verticies on the draped object.
Can we have options, to not do each of the above things. Instead can there be an option to produce points along the draped object by segment length or divide the object into a number of segments.
Could we also specify a Start and End point on the object for extra control, so we dont get points we won't use.
We could specify a Start point name and Layer along with the DTM to be used and name of object to be Draped.
All this would best be handled in a separate Tool Window so we could see all the choices listed (rather than just questions in the command line), then we could press OK.
Under the current system I have tried putting all the draped points on a layer I can hide, and then gone on to Modify and Segment line, but this is way to clunky.
It's probably asking too much, but the ability create points on another draped object perpendicular to points created on the first object would be great. Just for context, the scenario i'm dealing with is for edges of a path or track that are in a file 2D only, however there is a DTM supplied.
