Some drawings (e.g. A2 Deposited Plans in NSW Australia) have dead space in one corner as the title block information is attached to one corner of the sheet. It would be good to be able to define drawing area by polygon to allow this space to be used. Example attached.
Yes, that's what I'm looking for.
Hi James,
I understand now, thanks for the example. So basically when defining the drawing area, it would be good to support irregular shaped areas instead of just a rectangular shaped area, correct?
Attachment didn't seem to work. Attempting to attach again.
Hi Barkley. I understand that you can put information in this area in drawing view, but it would be good for it to be usable for information in the survey view. Here's a plan I've drawn (text turned off for anonymity). In this plan I've used a workaround, which is to make the whole title block the drawing area (including block text) and trim any lines that end up in the block text. What I want is to define the drawing area based on the lines I've shown in red (i.e. by polygon instead of the current option that is a rectangle).
James,
I may be misunderstanding the request, but if the title block is opened in the drawing manager using import to edit, you can add what you want in this area and then save it as a title block for future use.
