It would be great if this function was reworked, There are two parts to this:
1. It is a little bit querky as it is... existing problem: when you've added all the points to be transformed with the points to be constrained the user must simply know to press "ESC" key to continue with this workflow. Solution: a right click option should be added to go to the next step in the workflow, compution of the residuals should be automatic and the user could just simply review the results and tick boxes for 2D and 1D as required to satisfy his/her tolerances.
2. This is only in 2D! So then when a LS transformation is applied the user must then adjust the heights manually allowing for errors to be made which may not be easily detected without a strict QA policy. Please rework this option to include a 1D factor therefore allowing 2D + 1D, also a 3D factor might be advantageous when requiring to adjust to an inclined plane though not common.
Also when there should be further options such as Helmert LS and the parameters of a LS adjustment to be considered.
