At the recent Magnet event in Sydney, you displayed an option for magnet v8 to reduce noise from a point cloud using a routine (to essentially generate a ground classified layer of sorts), however it was raised that on the import of the LAS file, the existing point classification within the data set was not imported (ground, vegetation, building etc). This would mean the existing metadata statement provided with the sourced LAS data set is now worthless with regards to its spatial accuracy as the point classification has been lost. It would be essential when importing a point cloud data to utilise all the data within the data set, be it point classification, point colour, etc.. and to have magnet be able to filter on based upon point classification.
Some other point cloud packages also utilise a point colour tool (from a defined colour range/shade) to assist with classifying an unclassified point cloud dataset.
