Enhancement to Report Configuration

Below is a request submitted by a valued customer for Magnet Tools:


I have been a user of the CivilCAD & Magnet Software suite for over 10 years as a Land Surveyor in New South Wales Australia and the development of the software within that period has been very good.

I regularly reduce both GNSS & TS data in Magnet Tools.

One improvement I would like to suggest that would be helpful in the data reduction & analysis in Magnet Tools, particularly when records & reports are printed to PDF or hard copy, is that it would be great if the data in the Points data table can be sorted by date & time, like the GNSS Observations & GNSS Occupations data.

This would allow the Points data to be viewed in chronological order and the information in the relevant data set print-outs (Points, GNSS Observation, GNSS Occupations) "align" with each other, this particularly comes into play when both staking out points & collecting topo points in the field which are often on different number sequences. Presently there is no available option to include a column in the points data table that facilitates a chronological sorting of the information.

Can this functionality be added in a future update? It would be a small but useful improvement for data review purposes, and for data that has been uploaded (and would have a null or equal time stamp) to be sorted in ascending and/or descending order based on point number.
